Denyse Schmidt designed Shelburne Falls with inspiration from New England folk dance. She named this collection after Shelburne Falls, a small village in Schmidt’s home state of Massachusetts. The line includes traditional patterns like small florals, large florals, and intricate plaids set on the bias that are reminiscent of the swirling skirts and dresses traditionally worn for American folk dancing.
